To promote and enhance women leadership in business regionally by working together collectively with the international women associations in the Asian region to unite and to celebrate the legendary achievements of women.

● To empower women to excel further in their respective industries and to elevate them to be greater role models.

Women who are prominent business leaders and role models in their respective industries.

Malaysia + other Asian countries.
Years of Business Experience :
Minimum of 5 years.
Entry Rules :
Entry is open to Malaysian women in business via application or nomination, and Asian women in business via nomination.
The applicants/nominees may be either business owners or corporate leaders.
The award winners must be present in-person to receive their awards during the Awards Presentation Ceremony on 12 November 2019 at the Sunway Hotel Resort & Spa at their own expense.
Entry Requirements :
● Applications/Nominations in no more than 2 categories.
● Entry eligibility. Please refer to the section on “Judging Criteria”.
● All Malaysian entries must be supported with required documents either delivered by hand or sent online, whichever is applicable. The required documents must include a completed application/nomination form and supporting documents such as the latest ONE YEAR of Management Account Report, Company Profile brochure and a Company Website Address.
● Judging panelists will consist of industry leaders and any other persons deemed fit for the Judges Panel.
● Applicants/Nominees must be available for interview with the judges at their own expense if required.
● Award winners must be present in-person to receive their awards at the Awards Presentation Ceremony on 12 November 2019 at the Sunway Hotel Resort & Spa at their own expense.
● Site visits may be made should the need arise.
● Judges’ decisions are absolute and final. No further inquiry will be
entertained.
● Images and information as submitted in the application/nomination
forms may be used for publicity purposes.
● Closing date for submission of entries : 3pm 25 October 2019.

Overall, judges would like to see :
● Significant achievements in terms of personal and corporate branding in recent years.
● Good record of revenue growth and profitability based on the latest ONE YEAR of Management Account Report ?
● C suites and leaders in different industries or trade associations and have made impactful contribution to the industry and nation building.
● Proven leadership skills and influences.
● Women who are open-minded and adaptable to different and diverse professional environments.
● Are game changers who demonstrated initiative to innovate and transform with legendary performance.
● Are capable to lead by example with ethics and honesty, and are non- controversial, have positive impact and influence on their industries, communities and profession.

1. What are the AWEA Awards?
Answer : A recognition program organised by the Malaysia Chinese Women Entrepreneurs Association (MCWEA) – an NGO that seeks to encourage, enhance and empower business women in contributing towards the development of community, industries and the building of national economy.
